There’s just a few weeks left until the brand new 2019 NFL season gets underway and we have a feeling this one is going to be a cracker – it is the league’s 100 season so it’s guaranteed to be pretty special.
While things don’t kick off until September 5th, there’s really not that long left to get your backyard ready for a football party. Here we’re sharing our tips to help you get your prep out of the way so you’re ready to fully enjoy football season this year.
Tip 1: Get your TV lift cabinet ordered
If you love watching the game in person at the stadium, the next best thing has to be watching it in the open air on your own big screen TV. Our outdoor pop up TV lift units bring the stadium feel to your own space with modern and traditional designs, fully weatherproofed and designed to be a safe, outdoor home for your big screen TV. Perfect for placing on your deck, by the pool, next to the grill or on the patio, our outdoor hidden island TV lift units create your own stadium vibe at home, giving you even more reasons to get outside, invite your friend and neighbors over and watch the game.
If you don’t have an outdoor space, our indoor TV lift cabinets provide the same designer credentials and make watching every game a real treat. They also act as a focal point so you can feel proud to invite everyone over to watch the game at yours.
Tip 2: Spread the word
Make sure everyone knows to head to your place for the first game of the season. Send an email invite, a group SMS or group WhatsApp and get your plans locked down early. This makes it easier to cater your party too as you’ll know roughly how much food and drink you need to get when it comes time to do the grocery shop.
Tip 3: Fire up the grill
NFL parties are the best possible reason to fire up that grill – no fancy food or hours of prep needed, just hot dogs, burgers, chips, nachos and plenty of cold lemonade, beer and pitchers. Don’t waste time on the washing up either, buy in a load of paper plates, napkins and glasses so you can throw in the trash when everyone leaves, making clean up easy.
Tip 4: Get a pool running
Spice your party up by getting a pool going. Everyone chips in – the prize can be something cheap and easy like a bottle of bourbon or 12-pack, the fun is all in the competition!
Tip 5: Don’t forget desert
After chips, nachos and burgers, a cupcake or cookie is just the sweet treat most of us crave. Order a try from your local bakery or pick up at Walmart then set out on a table so everyone can help themselves.
