If you’ve been considering one of our premium weatherproof TV lift cabinets, you may have noticed that a few of our outdoor designs use a material called Ameristone. If you’re new to this material, you may be wondering what makes it to so special and why it’s used in our designs.
What is Ameristone?
This beautiful material is outdoor rated and used as a finish on some of our outdoor TV lift cabinet designs. You can think of it as an acrylic spray on stucco. It gives a textural finish that looks like real stone but has all the hardiness, durability and convenience of stucco, instead.
What is it made from?
Ameristone is made from a variety of natural aggregates in a range of colors. Those aggregators are then wrapped in a 100% acrylic binder. This method gives the best of two worlds, by showcasing the beauty of stone with the toughness of clear acrylic.
Why do we use Ameristone on our outdoor TV lift cabinets?
There are many reasons why Ameristone is such a great choice of finish for our hardwearing outdoor TV cabinets:
- Weatherproof: First and foremost, this stucco-like material can stand up to the elements. It won’t fade under bright sunlight and won’t be damaged by rain and wet conditions.
