With the seasons changing, there is no better time to give you home an update. Simply making a few minor alterations can create the sense of a brand new space and will show visitors that you have your finger on the style pulse. As fall is now in fall swing, why not freshen up your home with one of these interior design trends, handpicked for the season?
Add a splash of color
If you want to add a sense of fall to your home, look outside and take inspiration from the reds and golds inherent to fall. A splash of color can instantly update any space, whether that’s in the form of a feature wall, a new rug, cushions or curtains or something more permanent such as a new sofa. Consider earth tones to fit with the season such as reds, golds, coppers and tan.
Bright, vibrant blues and greens are also on trend with fall 2019 so if you want to really mix things up, look for peacock-inspired pieces in jewel bright shades.
Introduce a darker furniture piece
Black furniture is one of this season’s breakout trends – this is relatively easy to pair with existing pieces and can take many forms. You could swap out your dining table or chairs for example of, to add form and function to your space perfect for the colder nights to come, consider adding one of our indoor traditional pop up TV lift cabinets in a dark stain. The hand carved Regal Creek is guaranteed to add a dramatic statement piece to any room but you can also order many of our traditional designs in a custom finish so just ask!
Layer it up
Cooler temperatures mean it’s a great timed to add layers to your space. This is an inexpensive addition but choose wisely and you’ll not only create an on-trend finished look, you’ll also be able to add texture, color and coziness to your room. Look for interesting throws in bold pattern or sumptuous materials and stack them up to create an inviting space. This is one trend that is also inherently practical as when you settle down to watch a movie, read a book or catch up on a favorite show, you can simply pull a throw around you to stay snug and comfortable.
